About Kelly

Kelly Damico was born on July 14, 1983, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Connellsville, Pennsylvania.  Kelly has been singing since the age of 5.

She performed at the Geyer Performing Arts Center in Scottdale, Pennsylvania in 1994 playing the photo-3role of Tessie in the hit musical Annie. From there she took voice lessons and performed during her high school years in the musicals Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The King & I, and Titanic under the direction of Merl Stutzman.

After graduating from high school in 2001, Kelly attended California University of Pennsylvania. There she earned her BA in Communications (Radio & Television) and minored in Music. In 2005, Kelly performed in Dido and Aenas as the role of Belinda, and several cabarets within the music and theater department from 2001-2005. She was the lead vocalist for the Sammy Bill Orchestra in Republic, PA  from 2001-2005, and one of the lead vocalists for California Universities Jazz Ensemble from 2003-2005.

Kelly took a break from acting and singing for several years but is in full swing again. She was cast in the Geyer Performing Arts Center in June 2015 playing the role of Eponine in Les Miserables,  Eloise Ainsley in Bone Chiller in October 2015, and as Hope Cladwell in Urinetown in February 2016. Kelly was runner-up at the Jacktown Idol in July 2015 and took first place at the Mt. Pleasant Glass & Ethnic Festival in September 2015. Kelly was nominated for two Tottie awards in January 2016, for Best Supporting Actress in both a musical and play, winning for her role as Eponine in Les Miserables. From September 30th – October 16th, Kelly was cast in her dream role as Ariel in The Little Mermaid at The Diamond Theatre of Ligonier.

In November 2017, Kelly played Alice Beineke in The Addams Family. Her performance as Alice earned her another Tottie award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
